Seeking sanctuary from the hustle-bustle world of Manhattan winters, chef Rham Fenton’s one-of-a-kind sushi skill has helped land him a partnering role in two of the Jersey Shore’s hippest, seaside restaurants: Langosta Lounge of Asbury Park and Labrador Lounge of Normandy Beach.
Fenton joined New Jersey’s Labrador Lounge crew in 2003, when he reconnected with lifelong friend and award-winning restaurateur Marilyn Schlossbach. Fenton and Schlossbach’s business partnership blossomed quickly. Today, the often sold-out dining room of the Labrador Lounge welcomes a passionate following of guests expecting eclectic cuisine, delicately, fabulous sushi and seaside charm.
Later, in 2008, Fenton and Schlossbach again joined forces to establish one of Asbury Park’s hottest, oceanfront restaurant and bars, Langosta Lounge. With panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, and a vacation-inspired menu as widespread as Asian Barbecue Baby Back Ribs and Goma Maguro Sesame Tuna to the Lobster Dynomite Roll and Mango and Shrimp Ceviche, Langosta’s striking success is not surprising. A handpicked, international wine menu, coupled with cocktails as classic as the Sazerac to the more exotic, tequila and champagne-infused Moon Over Maui, Langosta Lounge continues to satiate the pickiest of palates.
